Dr. Vivian Lo, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. She attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology and Psychology. She then went on to complete her medical school education at Jefferson medical school in Philadelphia, PA. After her medical school training, Dr. Lo returned to New Jersey to complete an obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
Following her residency in 2002, Dr. Lo began teaching as a Medical Student Professor at St. Barnabas Medical Center. In 2009, she was appointed as the Assistant Clerkship Director of Medical Students in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at St. Barnabas Medical Center. As a result of her outstanding work and commitment, Dr. Lo was awarded the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award in 2005 and most recently in 2011.
Dr. Lo began her career as a Physician Assistant at Joann Somers, MD in Livingston, New Jersey. She then embarked on her next journey as a partner at Physician for Women’s Health Care, also in Livingston, NJ. Today, Dr. Lo is a senior physician at Women First Health Center, an Axia Women’s Health Care Center, and serves as a tremendous asset to our practice. Her dedication and compassionate nature make her a favorite among our patients.
Other notable honors that Dr. Lo has received over the years include the Excellence in Patient Satisfaction award from St. Barnabas Medical Center, Ferring Pharmaceutical Best PGY-2 Teaching Resident, and the Organon Resident Research Award.
Dr. Lo is also a member of the St. Barnabas Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Patient Safety Committee, the NJ Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Lo currently resides here with her husband and son. She is an active contributor to medical mission trips to Grenada as her passion is providing medical services to all in need.
