How do I get in touch with a physician after hours?

We always have a doctor on call for emergencies. Please call the main number and press the option to be connected to our answering service.

When should I schedule my annual exam?

An annual exam is covered by insurance once every calendar year. You can schedule your annual exam on or after that date. Our office books appointments up to 2 months in advance.

How long does my visit take?

Please allow 1 hour for all appointments.

To whom should I write my check when I make a payment?

All checks should be made out to Women First Health Center, an Axia Women’s Health Care Center

What do I do if I have new insurance coverage?

You can call our office and choose the option for billing to update your insurance information. You can also give us your new card at your visit.

Can I be seen for an appointment if I don’t have insurance?

YES. You can call our office for information regarding the visit fees.

When will I receive my test results?

Most test results are published to the patient portal and/or SecuReach if you have signed up for those systems. Please allow 1 week for them to be published. If you would like to become web enabled or need a SecuReach card, please call our office for assistance.

Should I cancel my appointment if I have my period?

If you are coming in for your annual gynecological exam, then YES you should cancel and reschedule your appointment.

At what age should I have my first gynecological consult?

Patients should have their first gynecological consult at the age of 18 or when they become sexually active.

What does the merger mean to me as a patient of RWHG?

RWHG will continue to focus on quality, comprehensive women’s care for all of our patients with a commitment to providing the same or better level of service you have come to expect from us, across a larger network. We will continue this work as the combined company, Axia Women’s Health.

Will my doctor at RWHG remain the same?

Yes. Unless otherwise specifically notified, all doctor/patient relationships will remain intact.

Will my doctor still be covered under my current insurance program?

Yes. All insurance contracts will remain intact unless otherwise notified.

Can I expect the same level of service from RWHG with the newly formed women’s health group, Axia Women’s Health?

Absolutely! At RWHG, we are excited about how we will continue to work and grow with our new and existing patients. Consolidated systems will allow doctors more time to focus on you, our valued patients.
