Dr. Victoria DeSantos
Dr. Victoria DeSantos, MD, JFACOG, is a board-eligible Obstetrician-Gynecologist. She attended college at Ohio University in Athens, OH where she obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry. She completed her medical school education at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. Her residency training was completed in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ where she also received training in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery.
Thus far in her career, Dr. DeSantos has participated in extensive research and quality improvement and patient safety projects. Most notably, her research on the quantification of cell free fetal DNA in maternal circulation as potential biomarkers for pregnancy outcome was selected to be presented to the New Jersey MFM Society, where it received second place. Dr. DeSantos was also the proud recipient of the 75th annual Sidney Lefkovics, MD Research Day Award as a result of her research.
Dr. DeSantos also has an abundance of volunteer and leadership experience. Some of this includes arranging fundraising activities for Relay for Life where she was a Newman Community team captain and co-captain, preparing and serving food to the homeless of the Athens, OH community, providing housing and support to medical school candidates through the student host program, and collaborating with volunteer physicians and medical students to provide free medical care to the uninsured of the Milwaukee, WI community.
She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the New Jersey Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, and the Morris County Medical Society.
Dr. DeSantos was born in Phoenix, AZ and grew up in Texas and Ohio. She currently resides in NJ with her husband and son. She enjoys reading, running, soccer, softball, flag football, volleyball, basketball, golfing, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
