Dr. Dan Sansobrino
Dr. Dan Sansobrino MD, FACOG, is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. He attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where he received his Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Physiology. He continued his education at New York University, where he completed his pre-medicine post baccalaureate. Finally, he received his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and continued post-doctoral training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
Dr. Sansobrino has trained extensively in minimally invasive surgery and has performed hundreds of procedures. In 2009 he was awarded “The Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award” from The American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. While completing his studies at St. Barnabas, he was the first resident to complete training with full robotic surgery credentialing. He specializes in the da Vinci hysterectomy system and is also trained in exercise and sports sciences.
Dr. Sansobrino is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the American College of Surgeons. Throughout his career, he has participated in a wide array of research. Most recently, he conducted a study about “The Impact of Estradiol Levels and IVF Outcomes,” which he presented at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Annual Research Day.
Dr. Sansobrino has also received other awards including the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award, and was a nominee for the New Jersey Medical School Gold Apple Teaching Award.
Dr. Sansobrino was born in East Meadow, New York, but currently resides in New Jersey where he enjoys spending time with this family.
